Jeff completed his B.S. in Forest Operations in the fall of 2014 at Humboldt State University (HSU). Jeff’s academic interests include natural resource planning and management, specifically with regard to commercial timber harvesting. He began his work with the Forest Operations Team in 2014 during the summer of his senior year at HSU. Jeff’s senior research involved working with HSU, Green Diamond Resource Company, and the U.S. Department of Energy for the Waste to Wisdom project to aid in the effort to determine how to best utilize commercial timber harvest residues for bioenergy production. After becoming deeply involved in this research work in his final year, he decided that pursuing a graduate degree was something he wanted to do. Consequently, Jeff is now continuing his academic career and earning a M.S. in Forest Operations with a focus on GIS.
